The issue is that the default firmware loaded into the MC6 is a Keyboard + MIDI USB interface. Because it is read as a USB Keyboard as well, the iPhone and iPad will not display the Keyboard when it sees a keyboard being plugged in, and there is no setting on iOS to disable this.
The only way to get around this is to upload the firmware which exposes a pure USB MIDI interface. You can download the firmware in our Downloads page.
